Munroe Robinson commits to row at Dartmouth
The Carolina Day School community held a ceremony on Friday, May 17 to celebrate Munroe Robinson ’21, who will row at Ivy League college Dartmouth. At the ceremony, Robinson signed his national letter of intent with the Big Green, Dartmouth’s Division I athletic program.
“I just realized that it’s pretty much the perfect fit for me,” Robinson explained. “A lot of freedom because I don’t know what I’m majoring in yet. The team is great and the team culture is awesome. It’s a beautiful campus. Exactly what I want, right-size school, it seemed like just a perfect fit.”
Robinson has competed with Asheville Youth Rowing since he was a freshman, including making it to USRowing Nationals in 2019. At that meet his Varsity Four boat clocked the 8th-fastest time in the country.
Robinson will be one of three Carolina Day Wildcats competing in Ivy League athletics next year.
